Death Battle idea Ash vs. Tai by kingdomofsantiago1 Death Battle idea Ash vs. Tai by kingdomofsantiago1
Can a pokemon trainer really defeat the leader of the first generation of digidestined's? Its tamer vs. trainer. Ash Ketchum and his strange use of tactics for his pokemon or Tai Kamiya and his use of digivolution.

Link to some AWESOME Fan art here!…

Pokemon (c) - Nintendo

Digimon (c) - Bandai

This battle would be SO boring.

Rule 2 of DEATH battle is no outside help, so they cannot use there pokemon or digimon.
ShadowKnight394 Featured By Owner Mar 20, 2015
There are exceptions, like in Wily vs. Eggman, but this would be boring as WarGreymon will destroy all.

Ash is immortal so gotta go with him

Ash would win

Tai would defenetly win. with WarGreymon, it would be nothing to him.

Well if you say without companions, then I'd say Ash, considering he freaking punched a garchomp in the stomach and somehow survived, yeah.
TheDannyMan Featured By Owner Sep 13, 2014  Hobbyist General Artist
Guys... I think it's really supposed to be with companions. I think Ash's Charizard could still handle Greymon since Charizard has the avantage of flight, but when he digivolves into MetalGreymon, the battle is all but over.
scottrosenfeld Featured By Owner Sep 6, 2014
its probably gonna end up with metal war greymon vs charizard
superawesometacoman Featured By Owner Aug 24, 2014
I'm assuming this is a battle without pokemon or digimon, but I still say Tai.
Drakua-Toa-of-rahi Featured By Owner Jul 12, 2014
Given it's a battle between the two humans and not their animal compatriots, it's a fist fight, not a Pokemon battle.

tai lets pull out metal war greymon vs pikachu
elmsi Featured By Owner Jun 22, 2014
Is this just as fight between to 10 year old boys?
I would give this to Tai. Having to survive in the Digital World for quite a while probably gives him some sort of an advantage in a fight.
GreilMercenary Featured By Owner Jul 23, 2014  Hobbyist Artist
Tai is actually 12-years-old when Digimon started.
elmsi Featured By Owner Jul 23, 2014
That just gives him even more of an advantage.
GreilMercenary Featured By Owner Jul 23, 2014  Hobbyist Artist
If it's a fist fight then I go for Tai because he's been in more fights like that than Ash. Sure Ash is cool but I prefer Tai.
elmsi Featured By Owner Jul 23, 2014
Although I think Ash is braver. If you look at all of the Pokemon movies he does go head first into every problem without much hesitation. In the first episode of the new X & Y series he jumps off of a skyscraper to catch Pikachu. A FRICKING SKYSCRAPER! He punched one of the most powerful Pokemon in the stomach and in the second movie he is the chosen one.
His feats are much more impressive. But that might be mostly due to him still having his adventures while Tai has not been seen since the second incarnation of Digimon.
But sadly I think bravery isn't going to change much in this fight so Tai still wins.
destroyer199 Featured By Owner May 10, 2014
Tai got in many fights so Ash would get owned

Better idea: Ash and Gary VS. Tai and Matt

Izayaorhara Featured By Owner May 3, 2014
Tai because all he would have to do is evolve Agumon to Wargreymon

If without companions: Ash wins.
If with companions: Ash is fucked.
JakeCrusher4 Featured By Owner Mar 28, 2014  Student Writer
Is this with or without their monster companions!
Angemon44 Featured By Owner Mar 22, 2014
i think that it is possible

No outside help in Death Battle.

They both lose.

Trained Vs Tamer, Well If we first only look at Pikachu Vs Agumon...I actually think Pikachu would come out on top if Agumon stayed Rookie mostly due to pikachu being much faster than Agumon and having more verity of moves he can actually use. Seeing how Agumon only got his Pepper breath and slash attacks and a few verities to those moves , while Pikachu have, Thunder bolt, Iron tail, Quick attack, and Lightning Ball. I think Agumon would loose mainly to Pikachu's speed and fighting capabilities.

While in Pokémon we learn that power comes in small packages, in Digimon we learn that Size surely is power. Due to nearly all evolutions making a digimon a lot bigger.

So next up would be Greymon and seeing that Greymon surely is five times bigger than Tai, hes sure to be a powerhorse to deal with. I personally don't think that Pokémon would be incapable of countering him however...While Pikachu alone may be insufficient, he may deal some damage seeing as Small Digimon seem to be able to deal damage to larger ones just like pokemon. And while his size increasing about ten times in height so does his power do as well meaning is likely bye bye Pikachu.

So next Ash would be more or less forced to use a Stronger pokémon who can deal with Greymon's size, having a choice I think he would either Pick Charizard or Snorlax, with Charizard's flight likely being his strategy to counter the ground bound Digimon. Its likely Charizard would be too weak to lift Greymon, but weirder things have happened...but mostly we can assume that Charizard would use the skies to fly and attack Greymon while trying to dodge ranged counter attacks. Mega flame being Greymons only ranged move unless he try to throw rocks or objects at Charizard. In this battle However I think Charizard's smaller size will come out as an advantage as it makes him harder to hit, we also know that Fire type pokémons take reduced amounts of damage from fire attacks, rendering Mega Flame less powerful towards Charizard while Flame thrower remains the same towards Graymon in return.

We can assume that even if Charizard goes down to Greymon he would be probably able to deal an significant amount of damage to Greymon unless he's caught and eaten. Then ash would probably need to use Snorlax who would need to counter Greymon with his speed once more and hyper beam, maybe with some luck and skill full use being able to Take Greymon down too.

After that comes Metalgraymon, and I'm actually going to Troll a bit here and say, hey lets send Pikachu back in if he's still alive...he seem to have a knack for blowing up robots with his Electric attacks...go blow that Greymon right up like if he's team rocket.

Buut...that would likely not work out so well unless his attack blow up the missiles in Greymon's chest...which wouldn't be impossible actually.

Seeing we now have Flight to deal with, I don't think Charizard would remain the ultimate choice and would actually bet on Ash's other flying types. Lets call in an old friend...Pidgeoto, as I still believe that Speed and smaller hits would be the best tactics for ash to wear down this new Behemoth. Probably end up defeating MetalGreymon too by tricking those organic missiles to ram back into sender.

As for Wargraymon and Omnimon I'm not going to go that far because after metalgreymon I don't think Ash's pokemon stand much choice any longer. Now with a much faster opponent with even more power than before....I don't really think so even if he uses the elites from every generation...yet I won't say that it would be impossible...maybe with only 6 pokémon...or maybe not...but In general I think Wargreymon and Omnimon is too much of a challenge to be beaten.

Can't. No outside help in a death battle. It would have to be just the two kids going at it.
Ganiec Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2014
Well the picture explanation said tamer vs trainer and that they would use their mons xD
Cultureghost Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2014
Again, can't. This is a Death Battle and one of the rules states that no outside help is allowed.

There's not a single Pokemon in Ash's repertoire that could even put a scratch on WarGreymon (or MetalGreymon for that matter) but it is a cool idea.

I wanna see this!
Not because of the battle but because I can already tell who's gonna own whom.
50 bucks on Tai.
Volcanic-Harpy Featured By Owner Sep 5, 2013
Tai would destroy Ash, from the very beginning he, along with the other Digidestined, have fought against beings like Devimon, Myotismon, the Dark Masters, and Apocalymon, all of which were PURE EVIL, Ash never really fought beings (as far as I know) that were PURE EVIL, and all of them could probably make even Mewtwo shit his pants.
Happybunns Featured By Owner Sep 4, 2013  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Ash has died before and come back. Ash would never let himself die because he "has to become the very best". Ash wins, but it would be a pretty pathetic fight...

I like Both for equal, but i have to be honest, Tai would Win

Everyone knows digimon sucks and blows so tai sucks all of his pokemon ripoffs suck and for one I think that maikarp could defeat every digimon there ever was but in tai defense ash sucks too but if red was here tai or his suckimon wouldn't stand a chance

wait you hate ash as well

Let's see, both Pokemon and Digimon, or Pocket Monsters and Digital Monsters, had trainers and had their creatures that evolves. I gotta say... good idea!

Ash is better ;) cuz Ash and Tai commit errors and think too lightly, often they are cost dearly, even life.
joey188 Featured By Owner Apr 29, 2013
i am going with tai on this one.
chicho234 Featured By Owner Apr 22, 2013
I am with Ash in this fight if is a fist fight, he lifted a Larvitar and that Pokemon can weigth more than 200 pounds and he even tank an electric attack from his Pikachu but Pikachu was weak.

If Agumon and Pikachu are included Tai wins, he makes Agumon to digivolve in Metalgreymon and Nukes Pikachu with his missiles.
PhoenixKing97 Featured By Owner Apr 10, 2013  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I dunno. Ash can have a maximum of 6 Pokemon, and we know that one is Pikachu. It depends on the Pokemon I guess, If he just has standard Pokemon then Wargreymon can finish them all in a few seconds. If it were just a fist fight, Tai would win, because he actually had fist fights with Matt and stuff. Then again that isn't much.
